A pizza dome for the secondary school in Fürth-Stadeln
Various construction industry associations have launched the joint campaign “We do this” to show interested pupils the wide range of training opportunities and good career prospects in the construction industry.
The “we do this” campaign carries out practical projects regarding the construction industry at Bavarian secondary schools. These practical projects are designed to enable young people to get to know construction professions and try them out in practice, as well as to make initial contact with the companies.
Such a project recently took place at the secondary school in Fürth-Stadeln under the pedagogical direction of the Fürth Vocational Training Center. The aim of this project was to build a pizza dome for the school grounds.
As it is always a pleasure for us to introduce interested pupils to the stove fitter profession, we were very happy to take part.
Together with Baustoff Union and GS Schenk, we provided the required materials free of charge and provided technical support for the project.
The pupils lent a hand – from cutting the plates and mixing the mortar, setting the plates and filling the joints, to insulating and plastering.
